LLOYD ALBERT

JERSEYVILLE – Lloyd Kenneth Albert, 87, died at 5:40 a.m., Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Jerseyville Manor.

He was born on May 14, 1936 in Bond County, Illinois to the late Elmer and Vera (Walker) Albert.

Lloyd graduated from Greenville High School in 1955 and Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique in St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed at Jersey Community Hospital with 40 years of service, retiring in 2001.

He married the former Kay Brown, of Greenville, on May 25, 1957. They have resided in Jerseyville since 1961. Lloyd was often found outside working in his garden, playing golf, and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. He was a 50 year lifetime member of the Moose Lodge and also belonged to the Elks Lodge and to Westlake Country Club.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Kay and their three children: Pam (Brad) Brail of Warsaw, Indiana, Mike (Lynn) Albert of Alton, and Chris (Bethany) Albert of Jerseyville; as well as nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger sister, Nina Buck.

Private graveside services were held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
